Qld: Singh family and friends gather at memorial

Around 200 friends and family of the SINGH family -- whose three children were brutally
slain last Easter -- have attended a memorial to mark the first anniversary of their deaths.

Members of the Brisbane Fijian community gathered in New Farm Park to honour 18-year-old
KUNAL, 12-year-old SIDHI and 24-year-old NEELMA.

They were found dead in the spa bath of the family's two-storey Bridgeman Downs home
in northern Brisbane on April 22 last year.

Police believe they were murdered in their beds before being dragged into the bath,
but the cause of their deaths still has not been released.

No charges have been laid.

This evening -- in an emotional ceremony attended by parents SHIRLEY and VIJAY SINGH
-- friends lit candles and spoke of their love for the three children.

A Hindu priest oversaw the ceremony and a shrine to the three SINGH children was erected
and surrounded with candles.
