NSW: Battle for deputy Lib leader narrows to two horse race
SYDNEY, April 3 AAP - The battle over the deputy leadership of the NSW Liberal Partyhas narrowed to a two-horse race between health spokeswoman Jillian Skinner and educationspokesman Barry O'Farrell.
A party source has told AAP that incumbent Chris Hartcher and transport spokesman PeterDebnam have withdrawn from the race and will not be standing at this morning's party roommeeting.
Ms Skinner is believed to have the numbers to win, but Mr O'Farrell is "supremely confident",the source said.
John Brogden is expected to re-elected leader unopposed.
